Meat for the Master's Use
As we begin another new year expecting to see amazing things happen in the Body of Christ, I can't help but think about the need of vision as we continue to remember where God brought us from, 2022 being a tough year for some, we reflect on where we are right here and now, thankful that we still have opportunity to serve.
Proverbs 29:18 declares that where there is no vision the people perish: but he that keepeth the law is happy. When I read this passage, I think of two very different approaches we must recognize. First there is a personal vision, what do you want to accomplish in this new year, the thing that you as an individual are focused on. This should revolve around your personal ability to contribute to the world around you and how you focus to be the very best you can at it, and how you contribute to Christ' body, the church. Then there is the corporate vision where we come together with all our personal ability and incorporate it all under one banner, the local church, serving the King of Kings and the Lord of Lord's.
With our hearts knit together, offering our God given ability as a service to Jesus through the local church, we can be, "Meat for the Master's Use." May the God of Abraham, Isacc, and Jacob, bless you richly throughout this year and your heart be driven toward a vision of service to the King!!!
