Meat for the Masters Use
Its the time of the year to celebrate Pentecost. Pentecost was celebrated fifty days after the resurrection of Jesus Christ. In the New Testament it commemorates the outpouring of the Holy Ghost. In Luke chapter 24 and verse 49 Jesus instructed the disciples to go into Jerusalem and wait for the promise of the Father, wait until you are endued with power from on high, and then He ascended to the Father, ten days later the Spirit fell on them as it had been promised and they were empowered to begin the New Testament Church. After Peter's first sermon under the power of the Holy Ghost the church grew about three thousand souls and the power began to be poured out in a mighty way. In those first sermons the word was spoken that the promise of the Holy Ghost was given to their children, and their children's children, and those who were afar off, as many as the Lord would call. It's through that power, that is still available, that we can truly be Meat for the Masters Use, Happy Pentecost!
